JSON import
Use canonical ChronicleSessionV1 JSON for integrations, debugging, and environments without MCP.
Import JSON
Open Import, choose JSON, paste a canonical session payload or select a .json file, and review it before saving. Include full narrative prose in chapter so the historical record remains portable.
JSON is the compatibility path. For human-authored sessions, Canonwell Markdown is easier to read and edit; for agent-led play, MCP is the preferred path.
Avoid accidental replacement
A normal JSON import never overwrites an existing session. Duplicate campaign session IDs, numbers, and event IDs are rejected.
Use the separate replacement confirmation only when correcting an already-saved session. Replacement rebuilds derived campaign state while preserving historical identity.
